He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gwen LaGrone Ray; his daughter Daphne Alford (Donald); his sister Beverly Smith (Daniel); his nephew Devin Mayhall (April); and his brothers-in-law, Jack LaGrone (Martha) and Mike LaGrone (Carolyn).

The family request donations be made in Johnny's memory to Panola County Cancer Coalition, Inc.
