He is survived by: his brother Jerry Lynn Thompson; his wife Kay Hull Thompson; his children, John Todd Thompson (Donna Venette) of Forney, Jodi Ellis (Robert) of Nacogdoches, Jill Lupton (Patrick) of Tyler, Robert Wayne Thompson (Heather) of Carthage, Sydney Wright (Tyler) of Tyler and Chris Adams (Roxie) of Carthage; his grandchildren, Regan Thompson, Tanner Thompson, Aubrie Ellis, Morgan Ellis, Duke Ellis, Caroline Walton, Claire Walton, Chloe Walton, Cooper Lupton, Zoey Thompson, Riley Thompson and Truett Wright; his great grandchildren, Jax Marquis, Corbin Stracener and Sadie Easter; and his nephews, Patrick and Sean Thompson.
