He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Sue Ware; his parents, Elon Banks and Lois Banks; and his siblings, David Foy Banks, Patricia Ann Stroud and Debbie Raye Blevins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy Hudson (Gaylon) of Carthage, Tonja Menges (Danny) of Longview and Tracy Banks of Carthage; his adoptive daughter Cherilyn Caraway; his grandchildren, April Rhodes (Shawn) of Longview, Xandy Ballard (Robert) of Snyder, Nikki Castillo (Salvador) of Carthage and Danny Lee Menges (Jennifer) of Midland; his sister Sharon LaRoux (Ray) of Tatum; his brothers-in-law, David Stroud of Richmond and Billy Blevins of Longview; and his caregivers, Tina Hudnall, Amy, Angela, Shelbi, Tiffani and Tish. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren.
