It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie Eugene Smith of Carthage, Texas, born in Winnfield, Louisiana, who passed away on December 25, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Geneva Smith; and his siblings, A. U. Smith, Carmel Smith Lonadier and Loyce Smith Clark. He is survived by: his wife Helen Cox Smith of Carthage, Texas.; his son Michael (Susan Howell Smith) of Shreveport; his grandsons, Kevin Smith of Tyler, Josh Smith (Stephanie) and Ryan Smith (Kaylia) of Stonewall; and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Kyzer, Wyatt, Stryker, Makenna and Roman.
