He is survived by: his former wife Margaret Sue Yarberry; his wife Sue Dempsey of Deadwood; his daughter Mandy Smith (Blake) of Carthage; his brother Charles Dan Dempsey of Cushing; his sister-in-law Wilene Dempsey of Pasadena, TX; his granddaughters, Emily and Madelynn Smith; and his stepgrandsons, Timothy of Carthage and Matthew Smith of Carthage.
