He was predeceased by: his son Gene McDaniel, Jr.; his brother Jerry McDaniel; his daughter-in-law Kim Richards; and his great grandchild Kent Richards. He is survived by: his wife Brenda of Carthage; his daughters, Tiffani May (Kevin) of Carthage and Teel Hooper of Beckville; his stepchildren, David Richards (Michelle) of Center and Donna Saxon (Roy) of Carthage; his sister Charlotte LaGrone (Mack) of Hallsville; his sister-in-law Darlene McDaniel of Missouri; his grandchildren, Brett May, Chandler May, Kennedy Hooper, Kagen Smith, Bradley Richards, Jace Covington, Jesse Saxon and Sarah Saxon; his great grandchildren, Connor, Natalie and Kiersten; and his close friends, Tim Leggett and Charles Holcomb.
