He is survived by: his son David; his wife Barbara Jean Hardee Futrell; his stepchildren, Brandi Shea Pierce and Clinton Hardee Stone; his grandchildren, Krysta Lingo, Colby Stone and Bella Stone; his sisters, Rendell Futrell (Dot), Donnie Futrell (Mollie), Deanna Lester (David), Nellie McGuigan (Pat), Jenny Harlan (Les), Matt Futrell (Sandy) and Molly Parks (Pat); his uncles, Betty Jane Clark, Mollie Woodley, Larry Woodley, Linda Woodley and Charles Futrelle; his mother-in-law Dorothy Gibbs Hardee; and his siblings-in-law, Martha Lawhorn (Doug) and Steve LeGrand. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and sweet cousins.
Graveside services with military honors will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Woodley Cemetery in Harrison County, Texas, burial will follow under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home with Matt Futrell sharing about his beloved brother's life.The family suggest donations to HeartsWay Hospice or the VA.
