He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ernest and Birdie Cameron Carter; and his brothers, James Ernest "Jay" and Charlie Wayne Carter. He is survived by: his children, Wendy Carter Boleware (Keith) of Carthage and Eddie Carter (Melissa) of Flatwoods; his grandchildren, Shelby Danielle Carter and Amber Christine Atkerson; and his great grandchild Weston Drake Reeves. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
