He is survived by: his wife Charmaine Carter; his children, Courtney Lee Carter, Heather Jo Updegraff and Chad Ryan Carter; and his siblings, Mildred Pinkston, Norma Thomas, Cathy Porter, Darrell Carter, Calvin Carter and Avin Carter. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
