He is survived by: his wife Geneva; his children, Johanna Vines Olive of Gig Harbor and Jeremy Vines (Naomi); his stepchildren, Natalie (Jerry) and Richard; his granddaughters, Amanda and Mariah; and his great grandchildren, Dashawn, Dayvion, Raniah, Elijah and Saniah.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Grover's name to the American Diabetes Assoc or PDSA (Association of People with MDS).
