She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Franklin Suggs and Atranter Louise Strickland Suggs; her siblings, Frances Louise Burns, James Davis Suggs and Barbara Jean Suggs; and her daughter Rebecca Carol Roseberry.

She is survived by: her husband Roland Neil Hamilton; her children, Joel Rudolf Stanford Jr., Dennis Lee Stanford and Angela Gayle Hagen; and her brothers, William Edward Suggs and Johnny Franklin Suggs. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren & ten great grandchildren & four great, great grandchildren.
