It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clever Mae Adams-Portley of Carrollton, Texas, who passed away on August 23, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Ruby Lee Duffie, Ruben Earl Adams, John Earl Adams, Donell Adams, Jessie Ray Adams and H. P. Adams (Buddy).
She is survived by: her granddaughter Lameshia; her friends, Mabel Henderson, Esther Hightower and Pauline Ramsour Wallace; her son Willie Eugene Adams; her grandchildren, Erica LaShay (Zachery Woodard), Catyrus 'Trez' (Julie Adams) and William Eugene Amundson (Melody Wanzala) of California; her great grandchildren, Justin Woodard, Lauryn Woodard, Catyrus Adams, Jr., Aiden Adams, Bryson Gilbert, Saephon Amundson of California, Akena and Raila Wanzala of California; her sister-in-law Juralene Adams; and also, Dick, Lou Greenwood, Moses and Georgia Jackson Adams. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
