He was predeceased by: his parents, Blondie Bell and Emma Bell; and his siblings, B. B. Bell, Marvin Bell and Cornelia Bell.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bell of Irving; and his children, John Bell (Lisa), Robin Yeakel (Jeff) and Greg Bell. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
