He was predeceased by: his grandfather Martin Cortines of Lufkin, Texas; and his grandmother-in-law James Poskey of Lufkin, Texas.. He is survived by: his wife Katie Susanne Slusher of Carrollton, Texas; his parents, Steven Slusher and Julianne Slusher of Lufkin, Texas; his brother Jeff; his sister-in-law Terra Slusher of Dallas, Texas; his grandparents, Charlene Cortines, Marvin and Patsy Slusher of Lufkin, Texas; his parents-in-law, Mark and Shanda Emmons of Lufkin, Texas; his brother-in-law Ryan Emmons of Houston, Texas; and his grandfather-in-law Nelda Poskey of Lufkin, Texas. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carroway Funeral Home (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904). A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Denman Avenue Baptist Church (1807 E Denman Ave, Lufkin, TX 75901).
