He was predeceased by: his parents, Federico Cervantez and Dolores Cervantez; and his wife Rebecca Zuvia Cervantez. He is survived by: his granddaughter Elsa Valdez; his sons, George Cervantez Jr. (Regina Cruz) of Carrizo Springs, Joevanie Cervantez (Regina) of Asherton and John Paul Martinez (Jeannette DeLeon) of Katy; and his siblings, Dora Elia Santoya of San Antonio, Federico Cervantez of Asherton, Jose Eduardo Cervantez of San Antonio, Hector Pablo Cervantez of San Marcos and Melchor Sergio Cervantez of Asherton.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home (424 Geraldine St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (579 Crockett St, Asherton, TX 78827).
