With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger Dale Sommerfeld of Carmine, Texas, born in Brenham, Texas, who passed away on December 16, 2023 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel Sommerfeld and Mildred Sommerfeld (Spiess); his wife Carol Ann Rosenbaum; his parents-in-law, Irvin and Virgine Rosenbaum; his brother Charles Otto Sommerfeld; and his niece Brittany Ridley.
He is survived by: his children, Justin (Elizabeth) and Melissa (Jason Smith); his grandchildren, Olivia, Austin Sommerfeld, Makayla and Jake Smith; his sisters, Carolyn (Gilbert Goeke) and Kathy (Daryl Gummelt); his brothers-in-law, Lary (Dixie Rosenbaum) and Gary (Diana Rosenbaum); and his nieces and nephews, Sean (Brittany Hohlt), Jill Rosenbaum, Jeffory, Rachael Goeke, Tracy, Ken Meier, Leigh Ann and Adam Seilheimer. He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.
