He was predeceased by: his siblings, Rudolfo Lopez, Manual Lopez, Joe Lopez, Piedad Blea, Julia Aragon and Trinidad Jr. Lopez.

He is survived by: his wife Pina Lopez; his adoptive mother Josephione Lopez; and his children, Cathy Hughes (Doug Hughes), Rosie Vela (David Vela), Aaron Lopez (Darron Lopez) and Joey Hurtado (Monica Madrid). He is also survived by siblings, 12 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial donation to be sent to Alzheimer's Foundation of America 322 8th Avenue 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
