She was predeceased by: her sister JoAnne Brown. She is survived by: her husband Harold Root of Canyon; her children, Gena Richardson (Jerry) of Canyon and Dan Root (Natalie) of Canyon; her grandchildren, Kristen Flowers (Darren) of Canyon, Ben Barrett of Berlin, Germany and Ripley Root (Jaidyn Root); her great grandchildren, Leah and Koen Flowers; and her nephew Richard Benton of Clarendon. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
