Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Marieta leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Sanders and Vee Sanders; and her husband Roy Gwyn. She is survived by: her daughters, Dywan Lane (Colin) and Mareechia Pennington (Shad); and her grandchildren, Trista and Shon.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Brooks Chapel (1702 5th Ave, Canyon, TX 79015).
