With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Luella McCarter of Canyon, Texas, born in Floydada, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 19, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Irwin and Lottie Faye Irwin (Maxey); her former husband Wayne Roy McCarter; her husband Bryce Slack, Jr.; her children, Cindy McCarter and Micky McCarter; and her grandson Brad McCarter.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky McCarter (Holly) and Nikki Lorenc (Steve); her daughter-in-law Patsy McCarter; her grandchildren, Melissa, Emily, Britt, Riki, James, Kenny, Julie and Jennifer; her brother Herbert Irwin (Sue); and her sisters-in-law, Patricia McCarter, Audeen Irwin and Jane Irwin. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
She had a devout faith and a generous and giving spirit, donating to any charity that needed help.
