He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Jr. Duke and Lugene Duke; his wife Marilyn Maynard; and his brothers, Wayne Maynard and Larry Cross.
He is survived by: his children, Wendy, Louis Shaheen, Scott and Shannon Maynard; his siblings, Dana Duke, Daryl (Delfia Duke), Steve (Suellen Cross), Delia Pletcher, Carolyn (Henry Altmiller), Delores Cross and Karen Kimbrow; and his grandchildren, Cadence Maynard, Megan Price, Serena Rincon and Ariana Rincon.
