It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose Luis Mario Lopez Sr. of Canyon, Texas, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lazaro Lopez and Maria G. Perez Lopez; his sisters, Ernestina Esparza, Corina Lopez and Bertha Uriegas; and also Martin Lopez.

He is survived by: his wife Luisa Lopez of Canyon; his children, Jose Lopez, Jr. of Lubbock, Gaudencia Simonne Renee of Nantes, France, LeAnne Lopez of Lubbock, Stephine Candanedo of Amarillo, Christine Trejo of Amarillo and Dania Lopez of Rosales; and his sisters, Mirta Lopez of Lubbock, Gloria Lopez Rodriguez of Lubbock, Anna Emilia Lopez of Indiana and Maria Irene Lopez Serpas of El Salvador.
