He was predeceased by: his mother Pearl Hughes (Strawn); and his siblings, Van Earl Hughes, Guynell Hughes and Doris Dorrough. He is survived by: his father Guy Tarver; his sons, Fred Hughes (Irene) of Amarillo and Michael Hughes (Janice) of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Braun Hughes of Manor, Robyn Massey (Cory) of Dripping Springs, Joe Hughes (Joanna) of Canyon, Amy Redus (Reed Redus) of Santa Fe, NM and Don Mark Hughes (Heather) of Canyon; his great grandchildren, Max, Elizabeth Hughes, Grant, Bo Massey, Braxton, Brant Hughes, Noah, Emmarie Redus, Mia, Hudson, Maverick, Tillie and Henry Hughes; his brother LaRue Hughes; and his sister-in-law JoAnn Street (Joe Shuping).
