He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald Welty and Opal Welty (Price); his brothers, Robert Welty and Jonnie Welty; his children, Donnie Welty, Jr. (Rebecca) of Danbury, Shane Welty (Laurie) of Irving and Jodi Lueb (Jason) of Amarillo; and his brother Ronnie Welty (Beth). He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
