He was predeceased by: his parents, Rayworth "Bub" and Mary Hoover. He is survived by: his wife Dale Hoover; his daughters, Mandy Frazier (David) and Meagan Walters; his grandchildren, Tyler Sharp (Marisa) of Amarillo, Evan Crowder (Justice) of Amarillo, Justice Crowder of Houston, Jade Crowder of Amarillo, Shelbie Frazier of Amarillo and Kyla Hamilton (Cole) of Shallowater; and his brothers, Dennis Hoover (Carolyn) of Springtown, Bruce Hoover (Tammy) of Iowa Park and James Hoover (Linda) of Big Springs. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
