She is survived by: her children, Tom Dawdy of Amarillo, Stephanie Dawdy Hager (Ronnie) of Canyon, Cindy Getschow (George) of Flower Mound, Greg Root (Candy) of Amarillo and Holly Schreur (Mike) of Canyon; her grandchildren, Brandi Crofford of Hamilton, Ginger Russ (Bart) of Flower Mound, Garrett Getschow (Rose) of Newport News, VA, Richard Root of Boynton Beach, FL, Berry Root (Heather) of Amarillo, Alexis Ellis-Root of Dallas, Parker Ellis-Root of Amarillo, Melissa French (Kip) of Amarillo and Joshua Schreur of Amarillo; her great grandchildren, Victoria Ambriz of Dallas, Cody Crofford of Dallas, Kenny Crofford of Hamilton, Jackson, Samuel Root of Amarillo, Brooke, Kali, Austin French of Amarillo and Violet Getschow of Newport News, VA; and her sister Virginia Cotton of Canyon.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Dreamland Cemetery (26500 S U. S. 87, Canyon, TX 79015). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (904 19th St, Canyon, TX 79015).
