Betty Rathjen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 11, 2022, at the age of 94, Betty Rathjen of Canyon, Texas, born in Three Rivers, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Paul Schweikert and Lena Schweikert (Koemel); her husband Dr. Frederick William Rathjen; her sons, Kurt Rathjen (Mary Ann) of Alvin, TX and Eric Rathjen (Bette) of Arlington, TX; her sister Marie; and her daughter Joni.
Betty worked at the WT Learning Center for seven years and volunteered for Partners in Palo Duro Canyon Foundation for numerous years, tending the gift shop in Palo Duro Canyon well into her late 80's.
