He was predeceased by: his parents, George McDowell and Nora McDowell; his former wives, Doris Cooper and Sherry Hendricks; his son Bobby McDowell; and his brothers, Bill, Scott, Forrest and Glenn McDowell.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn Watson; his son Jeffrey Lewis (Charlie) of Missouri City; his granddaughters, Haley Marie, Samantha Nicole and Maggie Grace McDowell; his sister Dorothy of Roxton; and his sister-in-law Rose McDowell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
