He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Olin Rumfield and Jessie Leona Rumfield; his wife Waukera Rumfield; his daughter Valerie J. Posey; his son-in-law David Posey; and his siblings, Mildred Ann Rumfield, James Alfred Rumfield and Ernest Olin Rumfield.

He is survived by: his son Mark A. Rumfield of Houston, TX; his brothers, Bob Rumfield and Roger Rumfield; his grandchildren, Tony Cain, Michelle Cain and Amanda Cain; and his great grandchildren, Malory Cain, Zaelyn Pulido, Alexis Marie Cain, Robert Cain, Zane Pulido, Rylee-Jae Valerie Boswell, Sophia Louise Beard and Kamryn Valynntine Beard.
