He is survived by: his spouse Carmen M. Brooks; his daughters, Betina Bynum and Tamera Kwist (John A.); his grandchildren, Nicholas Rankin, Bryan Hauteman, John M. Kwist and Lauren Kwist; his great grandchild Logan Hautemen; and his sister Vicki Moyer.
