Martha Fey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 12, 2023, at the age of 100, Martha Fey of Canyon Lake, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bedrich and Mary Brigid Hons; her husband Aloys J Fey; her son Jerome Fey; her sons-in-law, James Smith and Danny Reid; her siblings, Joseph (Edna), Sigmund, Casper, Vincent Hons and Mary Jarzombek (Joe); and her brother-in-law George Dziuk.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine Smith of Magnolia, James Fey (Janice) of Cedar Park and Theresa Reid of Shady Shores; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Resczenski (DeVaughn) of Mission, Johnathan Smith of Magnolia, Stephen Smith (Lisa) of The Woodlands and Jennifer Macklom (David) of Cedar Park; her great grandchildren, Cora, Alice Resczenski of Mission, Leonna Salazar (Vincent), Emma, Tristan Smith of Magnolia, Gabriella Smith of The Woodlands, Miriam, Naomi and Ruth Macklom of Cedar Park; her sisters, Ester Nester (John) of D'Hanis and Elizabeth Dziuk of San Antonio; and her sister-in-law Grace Hons of Falls City. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Martha had a lifelong devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary and to the rosary, prompting her to donate a larger-than-life marble statue of Our Lady of Fatima to Saint Matthias Catholic Church in Magnolia TX. She was an active member of Saints Peter and Paul Church in New Braunfels, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers Society, and later St. Matthias Catholic Church in Magnolia until health and Alzheimer's made it impossible for her to attend.
