We bid farewell to Leona Scheihagen of Canyon Lake, Texas, born in Wilson, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 1, 2024 at the age of 103. Leona touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis George and Elsie Lelia Marie Shambeck (Nessel); her spouses, Alfred Hill of Littlefield, TX., Elmer Kimball and A. E. "Shy" Scheihagen (A. E.); her son Alfred Larry Hill of Lymphoma; and her stepson Lee Kimball.
She is survived by: her siblings, Alvin Shambeck, Clarence Shambeck, Louis Shambeck, Willie Shambeck and Elner Welch of Lubbock, TX; her sister-in-law Velma Ruth Shambeck of Lubbock, TX; her daughter Sharon Knibbe (Chuck) of Spring Branch, TX; her stepdaughter-in-law Gayla Kimball of Hereford, TX; her stepsons, David Scheihagen (Amy) of Dallas, TX and Vin Scheihagen (Cathy) of Dallas, TX; her stepdaughter-in-law Saundra Rees (Dan) of Joplin, MO; her grandchildren, Shannon Knibbe, Chad Knibbe (Callie) of Spring Branch, TX and Cory Hill Ahern (Jennifer) of Long Island, NY; and her stepgrandchildren, Chris Tapia, Kesha Warner (Francis) of Hereford, TX, Robert Tippett, Dow Tippett, Terrance Tippett, Eric Scheihagen, Torsten Scheihagen, Dale Scheihagen, Kyle Scheihagen and Brent Scheihagen. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, additional relatives and dear friends.
