He was predeceased by: his parents, August Strunk and Anna Strunk; his brother Karl Heinz Strunk; and his wife Dannie Wenzel Strunk. He is survived by: his son Paul Strunk of Denver; his grandchildren, Michael and Kymberlee Strunk; his daughter Anna Beth Darr (Lex Darr) of New Braunfels; his grandchildren, Trevor and Laci Darr; his sister Helga Becerra (Joel Becerra); and his nephew Robert Becerra (Margo) of Colorado Springs.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Sts. Peter and Paul School fund.
