He was predeceased by: his wife Leora Ann Pape (Kablemacker); his brother Weldon Pape (Marlene Pape); and his sister-in-law Doreen Heitkamp (Harvey Lee Heitkamp). He is survived by: his daughters, Zina Christine Pape and Dunfield (Richard Dunfield).
