He was predeceased by: his wife Harriet Rose West (Koronczok); his brothers-in-law, Roman and Oscar; and his friends, Madge and Whataburger.
He is survived by: his children, Bert A. West (Stephanye) and Jacqueline Skrivanek (Dwayne); and his grandchildren, Victoria of New Braunfels, Ty West of New Braunfels, Peter (Olivia) of New Braunfels and Wyatt Skrivanek of New Braunfels.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home (189 N Seguin Ave, New Braunfels, TX 78130). A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church (386 N Castell Ave, New Braunfels, TX 78130). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
