He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Nevell Elms Sr. and Mary Jo Elms; and his sister Patsy Kramer. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Elms of Canton, Texas; his children, Thomas Andrew Elms (Sandy) of Kountze, Timothy Joseph Elms (Marsha) of Coppell, Vicki Jean Newburn (Steve) of Southlake, Rebecca Ann Girouard (David) of Grand Prairie and Laurie Beth Steward (Keith) of Canton, Texas; his siblings, Daniel Joseph Elms (Judy) of Irving, Texas, Peggy Merle Lambert of Irving and Sally Beth Elms of Irving, Texas; and his grandchildren, Christine, Matt, Michael, Sara, Thomas, Josh, Kadie, Ryan and Kyle. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
