He was predeceased by: his mother Bessie Maykus Duyka; and his stepsister Sandra Turpin. He is survived by: his father Frank Duyka; his stepmother Anne of Canton, Texas; his siblings, Rev. Stephen Duyka of Atlanta, Texas and Mary Jones of Trenton, Texas; his nieces, Kris Jones of Caddo Mills, Texas and Brandi Gaylord of Katy, Texas; his nephew Joseph Jones of Trenton, Texas; his great-nephew USMC LCpl Zachary Palmer of Tel Aviv, Israel; his great-nieces, Katyee Jones of Caddo Mills, Texas, Sydnie Lauw and Melissa; and his stepsiblings, Beverly Cauley and Johnny Langston.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Van Ministries, Van, Texas.
