He was predeceased by: his parents, C. L. Bateman and Dorothy Dee Brown Bateman; and his sister Anna Dee Hammett. He is survived by: his children, Billy Wayne Bateman and Laura Kay Alexander; his sisters, Bobbie Holland and Johnnie Cooper; and his granddaughters, Erica Louise Jones and Lana Nicole Bateman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home (205 Corky Boyd Ave, Wills Point, TX 75169). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Union Grove Cemetery.
