He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. and Leona V. Sassman. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, David Sassman, Lee Ann Blackmon and Terri Kay Hartman (Brad Hartman); and his grandchildren, Lilly Kay Blackmon, Noah David Blackmon, Braden Harold Hartman and Aaron Wade Hartman.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Harold G. Sassman Memorial Fund that is being setup.
