It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kerry Lee Westbrook of Canadian, Texas, born in Smith Center, Kansas, who passed away on February 22, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Eugene Westbrook and Marietta Nadine Westbrook (Cottrill); his wife Joyce "Jo" Earlene Westbrook; his son Jo-Lynn Schafer; his sister Jill Scheirling; and his brother-in-law Duane Scheirling.
He is survived by: his former wife Jo Hyatt Schafer; his son Scott Westbrook (Candi); his grandchildren, Connor, MacKenzie and Arik of Tyro, Kansas; his son Kirk Westbrook (Laura); his grandchildren, Chloë and Lily of Canadian, Texas; his son Jay Schafer (Janice) of Canadian, Texas; his grandson Jesse Schafer (Chelsea); his son Brady of Stillwater, Oklahoma; his granddaughter Jaymee Wright (Tyler); his son Creed of Stratford, Texas; and his sisters, Kaye Perkins (Verlyn) of Lakewood, CO, Doris Landree (Dave) of Ironton, MN and Patti Elliott (John) of Ozark, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, along with many lifelong friends.
The family has decided that Kerry would want memorials to go towards the efforts of the Fort Elliott High School Vocational Ag Department to assist with funds for student project materials.
