He is survived by: his wife Venita Haynes; his children, Liz Hund (Charlie) of Granbury, Dennis McPherson (Amy) of Dumas, Kenny McPherson (Jackie) of Canadian, Angela Oberoi (Pawan) of Houston and Dewayne Evans of Canadian; his brothers, Hob McPherson of La Honda and Gary Spicer of Shattuck, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Hilary Cox, Kenzie Stucki (Grant), Matthew McPherson (Clarissa), Quentin McPherson (Cely), Abbey Hund, Kyle Hund, Starr Bruton, Alisha Downey (Jake), Chaley Hext, J. D. Robson, Dessa Hext and Olivia Oberoi; and his great grandchildren, Kreede Cox, Kellen Cox, Kalloway Cox, Hayden Stucki, Averie Stucki, Addie Gonzales, Gunner McPherson, Piper McPherson, Samuel McPherson, Isla McPherson, Elias McPherson and Chazlynne Robson.
Viewing was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian (203 S 3rd St, Canadian, TX 79014). A memorial service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Canadian Methodist Church (520 E Main St, Canadian, TX 79014).
