It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alta Gladene Woodside-Swires (Canadian, Texas), born in Canyon, Texas, who passed away on October 14, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Thomas Cox and Joy McDowell; and her sister Lillie Heart. She is survived by: her former husband David Mack "Woody" Woodside; her husband Stanley Swires; her son Glen Woodside (Amy Woodside Carter); her grandchildren, Macy Baker (Blayne) of Spearman and Marcus Woodside (Mindy) of Canadian; her stepchildren, Jaelynn Swires of Canadian, Carma Raper of Canadian and Pat Swires of Canyon; her sister Sherma Flowers of Happy; and her great grandchildren, Graham, Witten, Lee and Maggie.
