He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgia Ruth Brannon and Hubert Otto Williams; his former wife Gay Nell Wood Williams; and his son Michael Ross Williams. He is survived by: his wife Melba; his children, Robert Kinsel (Patricia), Sherry Kinsel Bowerman (Jerry), Douglas Willams, Jr. (Darla), Lisa Williams Anderson and Karen Kinsel May (John); his grandchildren, Charli, Ashley, Russell, Christopher, Brianna, Salena, Jace, Cody, Bailey, Johnathon, Tyler and Amberlie; and his siblings, Michael Williams and Lynda Allen. He is also survived by twenty-three great grandchildren, fourteen great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Prairie Valley Baptist Church (2417 FM 513, Campbell, TX 75422).
