He was predeceased by: his parents, Goldie Richard Davis and Josephine Lynette Kyle Davis; his wife Carolyn Mae Dolph; his grandchildren, Taylor Don Davis and Jamie Lynn Reel; and his siblings, Cora Ann Halter, Dorothy Culpepper and Joe Wallace Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Edward Davis Jr. (Sherry) of Greenville, Janna Davis Reel (Charlie) of Paris, Donna Davis Robnett (Gary) of Commerce, Teresa Davis Nicholson (Glenn) of Greenville, Christy Davis White (Jason) of Honey Grove, Jessica Davis Gossett (Justin) of Campbell and Gary Don Ferrell (Diane) of Campbell; and his sister Annie Mae Harris of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
