She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Warren Coward and Estelle Coward (Cryer); her aunt Lucy; her husband Dennis B. Shelton; her children, Lisa Marie Reece and Jimmy Burkhalter; her granddaughter Brenley Hannah Burkhalter of Austin; her brother Mike Coward; and her sister-in-law Cricket Coward of Orange Park. She was also cherished by brother Mike was not born until Mary was around 15, for the most part she grew up as an only child, and enjoyed many happy times with her parents.
