She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Schindler and Mary Schindler (Zernial); her husband Louis; her sons, James (Russell) and Jeffrey Sommer; and her siblings, Lois "Dinky" Schindler and Edwin "Bubba" Schindler.

She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Katharine Sommer; her grandchildren, AJ Sommer (Rhonda), Brett, Rheghan Sommer, Jodee Rubac (Amanda), Brandy Rubac and Chancey Rubac (Brandy); her great grandchildren, Ryder and Jenna Sommer; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Avelynn, Elijah, Isaiah, Abigail, Maeson and Alaina; and her close friends, Shirley Sommer and Brenda Hrnicko.
