Ethel Mae Marak Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel Mae Marak of Cameron, Texas, who passed away on January 20, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ethel Mae Marak to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Jistel and Caroline Jistel (Lilly Hollas); and her sister Gwen Burns. She is survived by: her husband Johnny Ray Marak, Sr.; her children, Johnny Marak, Jr. (Ray), David Charles Marak and Vanessa Jane Marak Schiller; her siblings, Wayne Jistel, Clyde Jistel, Janice Beach, Lucille Chupik and Carolyn Klecka; and her grandchildren, Stephen Schiller and Nichole Schiller.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home (2800 N Travis Ave, Cameron, TX 76520). A rosary was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Monica's Catholic Church (306 S Nolan Ave, Cameron, TX 76520). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers Ethel requested contributions be made to the St. Monica's Cemetery Fund and the Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church and Cemetery Fund.
