He was predeceased by: his parents, Murdock Swanzy and Alma Kuhn Swanzy; his wife Ruby Sweet; his granddaughter Melissa Schneider; and his siblings, Albert Swanzy and Billie Noack.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Marek, Donald Swanzy (Linda) of Angleton and Joy Schneider (Kenneth) of Rogers; and his grandchildren, Todd Marek (Kimberly), Lynne Cassens (Roger), Kelly Slone (Doug) of Waxahachie, Geri Swanzy of Angleton and Paul Swanzy of Angleton. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or to the Ben Arnold Cemetery in Ben Arnold.
