Chavis; his children, Cynthia Goings (Paul), Leonard Chavis (Norie) of Port Arthur and Jessica Jones (Karl) of Houston; his grandsons, Karl Jr. of Houston, Kevin of Houston, Kwincy of Houston, Kendall Chavis-Jones (Jennifer) of Houston, Keith and Kilian Chavis of Port Arthur; his great grandchildren, Kaelyn, Kai Kirchhoff-Jones of Kansas and Makayla Chavis-Jones of Houston; his cousins, Curtis Joseph and Vivian Sneed; and his friend Clifton Mitchell. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
