Shirley Irene Felder Obituary
Shirley was born in Dublin, Georgia to Mary Jane Tanner and James Foreman Belle on April 24, 1937. She was the youngest of eight children. Shirley was married to Lee Wilburn Sims and they had four children, Arthur, Bart, Cheryl, and Dean Sims. She was more than a wife and a Mom. Shirley was a survivor. She beat cancer and even attended college at the University of Houston. Shirley re-married in 1980 to Howard H. Felder. She settled down in Porter, Tx in 1990. Shirley was a great seamstress, enjoyed puzzles, and loved spending time with friends and family. Her most favorite time of year was Christmas. If you ever rode with her, you knew exactly what cd would be in her car. Every Christmas song you could imagine. So, when you think Christmas, think "Shirley". Even though she worked many hours, she still made time for special events for her grandchildren and holiday gatherings. Everyone looked forward to her famous coconut cake with the seven minute icing. She could definitely bake anything. Shirley loved the Lord and her family dearly. We will forever cherish videos, pictures, and voice messages from her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, respect, and admiration in her teachings.
